In anticipation of the implementation of the regulations of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Gatekeeper Business Solutions has worked closely with valued clients to design reports for determination of number of full time employees, and affordability for health care benefits. The updates with the reports are being provided at no additional charge to help Gatekeeper clients manage their compliance with the ACA.
Clients using the Gatekeeper LMS with time & attendance, whether on the licensed based installed version or our cloud hosted solution have the ability to track the hours of employees regular full time, part time or seasonal to determine FTE’s (full time equivalents) and calculate average hours worked by week (30) and month (130) in detail or summary to determine eligibility for health benefits for qualified large employees.
Clients using the Gatekeeper LMS with payroll processing have the report for Affordability which compares the lowest cost health care option to the employee’s required contribution for self coverage. Qualified large employers with Gatekeeper payroll have the ability to self-file forms 1094 and 1095-c, or the option for a flat fee to have Gatekeeper electronically file these with the IRS on their behalf. Gatekeeper continues to follow the ongoing changes to the regulations and reporting requirements for eligible employers as defined by the ACA. The reporting provided continues our commitment to delivering updated software to manage labor cost while enabling clients to maintain compliance with the ACA.
